INTERNATIONAL PRESS CARTOON COMPETITION - CONCOURS INTERNATIONAL DE DESSIN DE PRESSE
The municipality of Ramatuelle, concerned with the preservation of its environment, wishes to draw attention to the nuisances caused by the incessant traffic of helicopters on its territory. For this reason, convinced that satire, caricature, and insolence can be sane remedies, it calls on cartoonists to create drawings featuring these nuisances, through a competition.
Three prizes will be awarded:
➢ 1st prize: 5,000 euros + L4xH3 meter display in the town
➢ 2nd prize: 2,500 euros
➢ 3rd prize: 1,250 euros
The town of Ramatuelle asked the association Le Crayon to constitute and chair a jury which will be responsible for selecting the three winners.
Composition of the Jury:

➢ Jean-François JULLIARD , Directeur Général de l’association Greenpeace France

La commune de Ramatuelle soucieuse de la préservation de son environnement souhaite attirer l’attention sur les nuisances provoquées par les trafics incessants des hélicoptères sur son territoire. Pour cela, convaincue que la satire, la caricature, et l’insolence, peuvent être de sains remèdes, elle lance un appel aux dessinatrices et dessinateurs de presse pour la réalisation de dessins mettant en scène ces nuisances.

A message to the readers and collaborators of DosBufones.com
All things must pass, even art projects, and DosBufones is no exception. After 105 issues launched into cyberspace, the creators of the South Florida humor and satire e-mag have decided to put an end to the publication.
It has been a beautiful, and sometimes heroic, experience that lasted just over two years. We have had the privilege of promoting the work of humorists from around the world in our quest to make an international humor magazine and that makes us very happy.
We did what we like to do.
In these twenty-five months we have learned that publishing an online humor magazine is a challenge. Effort and enthusiasm are not enough. Life often limits the time you can devote to publishing. Nor is it enough to have unconditional friends and collaborators. We all need compensation and not just of the spiritual type.
There are many other reasons that are the result of the rapid technological development and the current rules of digital communication. It is not easy to compete, even if the product is artistically excellent.
The times have changed.
Anyway, no regrets. Each of us who loved the project will continue to make humor, even if it is not on DosBufones.com. No one can take away the fun we had.
Thank you all very much for your selfless support and collaboration.

Todo en la vida pasa, incluso los proyectos artísticos, y DosBufones no es la excepción. Luego de 105 números lanzados al ciberespacio, los creadores del semanario digital de sátira y humor del Sur de la Florida han decidido poner punto final a la publicación.
Ha sido una bonita, y a veces heroica, experiencia que duró algo más de dos años. Hemos tenido el privilegio de promover la obra de humoristas de todo el mundo en nuestro afán de hacer una revista de humor internacional y eso nos ha hecho felices.
Hicimos lo que nos gusta hacer.
En estos veinticinco meses hemos aprendido que publicar una revista de humor online es un reto en el que no basta con las ganas, el entusiasmo y el esfuerzo; la vida se las ingenia para limitarte el tiempo que le puedas dedicar a la publicación. Como tampoco basta con tener amigos y colaboradores incondicionales. Todos necesitamos compensación y no sólo espiritual.
Hay otras muchas más razones que son resultado del vertiginoso desarrollo tecnológico y las reglas actuales de la comunicación digital. No es fácil competir, aunque el producto sea artísticamente excelente.
Los tiempos han cambiado.
En fin, nada de reproches. Cada uno de los que le pusimos amor al proyecto seguiremos haciendo humor, aunque no sea en DosBufones.com. Así que por ahí nos vemos.
