The competition featured works of exceptional quality that will greatly contribute to the legacy of writer Camilo Castelo Branco, with approximately 140 artists representing 30 countries participating.
Organized by the municipalities of Vila Real and Ribeira de Pena in Portugal, the competition was held as part of the "Camilo Por Terras do Interior" project, celebrating the bicentennial of the birth of Camilo Castelo Branco, one of Portugal's most important literary figures.
