EXTENDED SUGGESTION OF TOPICS FOR CREATING WORKS
1. "Her Power, Her Story" (Women)Of global movements for equality and gender representation, this theme invites artists to reflect on the evolution of power, struggles and triumphs of women. It’s all about rescuing narratives—with intelligence and grace. “Your Side of History” Spotlight on the voices, power, and resilience of women’s everyday. Focus: Gender equality, motherhood, and the everyday feminine brilliance.
Cartoons Turkiye / (Pencere Mizah)
2. Blue is the New Green (Nature, Water and Environment) Focus on the planet's water crisis, rising sea levels, pollution and climate change. The humor here can be a powerful playful paradox, however urgent. "The Last Drop" Water scarcity, floods, plastic seas, nature's cry for help. Focus: Environmental Humor and Eco-Friendly Solutions
3. “Sorry, I’m just an AI” (Technology, AI, and the Human Future) From deepfakes to ChatGPT and robot dogs dancing on YouTube, humanity wonders: what makes us humans when machines start doing everything?
"404: Humanity Not Found" The failure of modern life, AI, disconnection, technological dependence. Focus: Social media addiction, absurd algorithms, lost empathy and artificial intelligence surpassing common sense.
4. "System Errors" We live surrounded by failures - some technological, others human, many social. It's useless notifications, emotional locks, forgotten passwords, behavioral bugs, ideas not loading, and dropped connections... with or without wifi In the midst of so many systems — operational, institutional, mental — humor can be the antivirus or its own revealing glitch. Focus: Everyday fails, error messages, modern locks and the irony of living in a world that demands constant performance... even with a failing system. What's left when everything locks up? Laughing might be the only remote that still works.
5. "Laughing Under Pressure" (Mental Health and Society)
The post-pandemic world has brought mental health into the limelight. This topic invites reflection on burnout, therapeutic culture, with lightness and depth. "Laughing During the Breakdown" Stress, therapy, emotional survival and the irony of modern healthcare. Focus: Self-help tendencies, work anxiety, therapy clichés, and silent struggles.
6. “The Illusion of Planet B” (Out-of-this-World: Space, Science Fiction, and Escape, Politics)Whether billionaires and politicians rushing to space or fantasies of starting over on Mars, this theme satirizes humanity’s desire to escape our problems looking upwards rather than inwards, and the bad leadership of the politicians to harmonize life under their command. "Oops, I voted again" Democracy, disinformation and the circus of politics. Focus: Political absurdity, populism, Fake News, manipulation, and what happens when the clown wins.
7. “The Algorithm of Taste” (Culture, Trends and Meme Fixation)What is art, what is content and what is just a TikTok trend? """Common Sense Left the Group Chat"" Focus: Artists can play with the fine lines between high and low culture, real and fake, fast and timeless."
