26th international competition for satirical illustrators dedicated to the world of wine.
Art. 1 – Object of the competition
The Movimento Turismo del Vino Friuli Venezia Giulia announces the public competition called “Spirito di Vino” for the assignment of prizes to authors of satirical illustrations regarding the world and culture of wine. Participation in the competition is free.
Art. 2 – Participation in the competition
Italian and foreign artists aged 18 and over in 2025 may participate in the competition, only individually. Participants will be divided into two categories: from 18 to 35 years old, under section, and from 36 years old, over section.
Art. 3 – Formats and requirements of the works
The satirical illustrations can be made manually or digitally in any technique, in black and white or in color. Each participant can send only one work. The images made manually must be original and autographed, signed in a non-invasive way with ©Name and Surname of the author positioned in the corners of the work or on the back.
Art. 4 – Terms and methods of delivery of the papers
The duration of the competition is expected from April 27 to September 14, 2025. To participate in the competition, interested parties must register in the appropriate section on the website www.spiritodivino.cloud , download these rules.
Fill out the registration form by uploading the work on the website www.spiritodivino.cloud , in jpg format in high resolution (300 dpi).
The works that arrive after the indicated deadline will not be accepted
Art. 5 – Exclusion
Works that do not comply with articles 1, 2, 3, 4 will not be admitted to the competition.
Art. 6 – Composition of the jury
The Movimento Turismo del Vino has appointed a judging commission composed of great masters of Italian satire, such as Giorgio Forattini, Alfio Krancic, Emilio Giannelli, Valerio Marini, and other authoritative personalities from the world of illustration, graphics and food and wine. The judgment of the judging commission is final and final.
The final evaluations of the jury will be directed towards those who have been able to interpret the proposed theme in the best possible way.
Art. 7 – Prizes
The prizes up for grabs for the three winning illustrations will be distributed as follows:
1st place under: 78 bottles
2nd place under: 54 bottles
3rd place under: 30 bottles
1st place over: 78 bottles
2nd place over: 54 bottles
3rd place over: 30 bottles
Shipping to non-European countries is not guaranteed.
Art. 8 – Award ceremony and exhibition
The works selected by the jury for the final phase will be exhibited during the awards ceremony in a public exhibition that will be hosted in an appropriate and prestigious location.
The event will be presented to the Italian and international press. The exhibition may then take on a traveling character and be presented in other locations to be defined.
Art. 9 – Rights of use
By participating in the competition, the illustrators grant the non-exclusive right to reproduce and publish the works to the Movimento Turismo del Vino Friuli Venezia Giulia, which may therefore be reproduced, distributed and advertised – with the sole obligation of citing the author of the same – on digital media (websites, social networks, TV broadcasts, online newspapers, etc.), on any other type of promotional material relating to the cultural initiative (leaflets, flyers, folders, invitations, posters, placards, shoppers, etc.), on the exhibition catalogue, as well as on postcards, calendars, posters. It should be noted that the aforementioned list is merely an example and not exhaustive of the use that we reserve the right to make of the aforementioned works. The use of the images above does not entitle the authors of the same to any compensation. The candidates guarantee the authorship of the works presented, expressly releasing and indemnifying the organizing body from any requests for compensation coming, for any reason, from third parties, and declare, under their own exclusive civil and criminal responsibility, that the projects presented do not violate the legislation in force in the matter.
Art. 10 – Acceptance of the competition rules
Participation in the competition implies that competitors fully accept all the conditions and clauses contained in this regulation.
