Security plays a fundamental role in the stability and well-being ofmodern societies. In an increasingly unstable world, where uncertaintymanifests itself in different forms, from geopolitical conflicts to economic crises, ensuring the security of our lives has become anessential priority. Global instability is reflected in many ways. Warscontinue to ravage entire regions, forcing millions of people to becomerefugees, stripped of their homes and their dignity.
These humanitariancrises not only challenge the security of those directly affected, but alsotest the capacity of nations and international institutions to offer effective and supportive responses. The decisions of political leaders play a decisive role in global security. Well-structured public policies can promote peace, economic stability and social cohesion, while hastydecisions or those motivated by unilateral interests can aggravateconflicts and increase the vulnerability of millions of people. Politicalresponsibility must therefore be guided by prudence, transparency anda commitment to collective well-being.

Faced with this challengingscenario, it is essential to reinforce the importance of integratedsecurity policies that encompass not only territorial defence, but alsohuman security in all its dimensions. The future of humanity dependson building resilient societies capable of facing adversity withsolidarity, innovation and international cooperation. The topic ofsecurity, which will be addressed at the 2026 ISCFP, is therefore more topical than ever.
Reflecting on it means seeking ways towards a safer, fairer and more stable world for all.
Professional Category:
01 | Main Theme: "Security";
02 | All professional and amateur artists of any nationality can participate;
03 | The works must present the following characteristics: 300 dpiquality and jpg format and preferably in a horizontal position.
04 | The submitted works must be accompanied by the respectiveregistration forms, which must be full and legibly filled out;
05 | The works must be submitted until November 30th, 2025 and sentto the following email: ricardoferreira.escolatondela@gmail.com
06 | The participation in the International School Cartoon Festival automatically implies the transfer of rights to the publication andreproduction of the works sent via any medium, within the scope of theproduction and dissemination of the Festival. Thus, the act ofregistering the submitted work automatically implies the transfer of therespec- tive reproduction rights for non-commercial purposes;
07 | The awarded prizes are as follows: 3 Prizes in the Professional Category - Prize ISCFTP 2026. Each prize includes: (1 box of 40 carand’ache colored pencils, trophy, diploma, and pin);
08 | The Jury's decisions are irrevocable and cannot be subject to anytype of appeal or claim. The composition of the jury is made up ofinvited professionals and elements of the festival's organization.
Student Category
01 | Main Theme: "Security";
02 | Children of any nationality aged between 12 and 15 can participate;
03 | The works must have the following characteristics: 300 dpiquality and jpg format and preferably in a horizontal position.
04 | The submitted works must be accompanied by the respectiveregistration forms, which must be full and legibly filled out;
05 | The works must be submitted until November 30th, 2025 and sentto the following email: ricardoferreira.escolatondela@gmail.com

07 | There are 5 contest categories and in each category there are 3 prizes. The prizes awarded are as follows:
3 prizes in the National Student Category - ISCFTP 2026 Award (for students enrolled in schools within the national territory).
3 prizes in the International Student Category - ISCFTP 2026 Award(for students from schools of other countries).
3 prizes in the AETCF Student Category - ISCFTP 2026 Award (for students from the Tondela Cândido de Figueiredo's Schools).
1 prize in the Higher Education Student Category - ISCFTP 2026 Award (for higher education students).
All prizes include: 1 box of 40 “Caran d’Ache” coloured pencils, trophy, diploma and pin.
08 | The jury’s decisions are irrevocable and cannot be subject to anytype of appeal or claim. The jury is composed of invited professionalsand members of the festival’s organization.
