To celebrate Mahatma GANDHI's birthday, the Embassy of India in Cairo is organizing a caricature exhibition in collaboration with Fayoum Art Center and Egypt Cartoon, the Exhibition will be held on October, at Maulana Azad Center for Indian Culture in Cairo.

Born on 2 October 1869, Mohandas Karamchand GANDHI, commonly known as Mahatma Gandhi, is known for his social, political and spiritual philosophy, which inspired people across the globe. Committed to non-violence (Satyagraha) and promoting a simple life, Gandhi became a symbol of peace and truth not only in his native India but also internationally.
His birthday is celebrated as "International Day of Non-Violence".
