Call for CARTOONISTS for a Global Satirical Cartoon Exhibit - IMAGES OF JUSTICE: Children & Human Rights
The Human Rights Research and Education Centre is pleased to participate, in partnership with CONTEKST, the Interdisciplinary Research Laboratory on the Rights of the Child - IRLRC (Faculty of Law, Civil Law Section, University of Ottawa), the School of Child and Youth Care (Faculty of Community Services, Ryerson University), and the Canadian Journal of Children's Rights (Landon Pearson Resource Centre for the Study of Childhood and Children's Rights) in the second edition of the initiative:

Images of Justice: Children & Human Rights
The second edition of this initiative, under the general theme of children and human rights, will exhibit satirical and critical cartoons on the rights of the child, their freedoms, as well as various political, social, and legal issues, be it private or public, domestic/national or international, with which children, families, and their advocates grapple across the world.

All cartoonists and illustrators are invited to participate, especially editorial cartoonists, satirical cartoonists, caricaturists, and comic-strip artists. A special category for children's drawings has been created and a special prize will be awarded to an artist under the age of 18.

The deadline to submit artworks is OCTOBER 31, 2020 at info@contekst.education.
The selected cartoons/works will be exhibited online from November 2020 and they will be brought to the sight of the public via electronic means through the collaborators’ online platforms.
