ACHIEVEMENT
Caratinga International Humor Salon is a realization of the Caratinga Cultural Station promoted in partnership with Caratinga City Hall.
EXHIBITION
The Exhibition of selected works at the 15th Caratinga Humor Salon will be held from August 19th to 30th, 2019, at the Cultural Forum, at Getúlio Vargas Square.
PARTICIPATION
Artists of any nationality, amateur or professional, and regardless of age may participate. If underage the legal guardian must sign the registration form.
IMPORTANT
Registration from abroad must indicate bank entity with branch in Brazil. Each participant may register with up to two (02) unpublished works in each modality that have not been awarded until the closing date of the entries.
MODALITIES
The unpublished works may be presented in the following modalities: CARTUM; CARTOON; CARICATURE (FREE Theme) and THEMATIC CARICATURE: Zélio Alves Pinto / Cartoonist and Plastic Artist.

TECHNIQUES - DIMENSION
30 cm x 40 cm. The unpublished works must be original. The technique is free. Papers printed on coated paper / A3 will also be accepted.

A total of R $ 4,000.00 (four thousand reais) will be awarded in prizes and trophies, as follows:

REGIONAL TALENT AWARDS-
A prize of R $ 300.00 (three hundred reais) and one of R $ 200.00 (two hundred reais), trophies and catalog for 1st and 2nd places, respectively, and trophy and catalog for 3rd place, judged among all. the categories. The “REGIONAL TALENT” award will be disputed only among registrants born or resident in the municipality of Caratinga, and must present proof of birth or residence upon registration. If the artist of this category is awarded in any of the categories, he / she will not compete for the “TALENTO REGIONAL” prize, which will be chosen among the other artists of the municipality. The cash prizes will be paid by the Caratinga City Hall. The Judging Committee will be awarded three Honorable Mentions in all categories.
JUDGMENT
There will be a selection jury and an award jury composed of qualified people from the area. The award jury reserves the right not to award prizes to categories that do not reach sufficient level by transferring to other categories or creating a special prize from the Show. If the prize jury finds any kind of irregularity, fraud or plagiarism in one or more Entries may cancel the award by granting the same to another artist of their rank. The winning entries will be published on the Caratinga Humor Salon website and facebook page after the opening and may be contested within one week of opening the salon with reasonable evidence of any wrongdoing without the jury's knowledge. Other awards and mentions may be instituted at the discretion of the Organizing Committee. All entries and selected works will be purchased for the Caratinga Cultural Station Association. The works will be part of the collection of the Caratinga Humor Salon, which will be able to participate in traveling shows, dissemination in print, television and electronic media. By participating in the contest, the artist will be agreeing to the rules of the regulation.
ATTENTION / RETURN
Entries will be returned no later than five months after the event closes on August 30, 2019 only for artists who send a properly sealed envelope along with the entries. Those sent without the envelope will automatically grant their works to the collection of the traveling and permanent exhibition of the hall. By registering the author automatically transfers the assignment of the copyright of his / her work (s) when awarded acquisitively in accordance with Law No. 9610 of February 1988 (Copyright Law) in full, universal and definitive form in all terms of use and free of charge, copyright, safeguarded by the aforementioned law regarding the prize-winning work (s) at the Caratinga International Humor Salon, which is now part of the Caratinga Cultural Station Association's National Graphic Research and Disclosure of Humor Collection for all the purposes of rights which it reserves to make the use as it sees fit. Simply registering automatically implies agreement with the terms of this regulation.
